Amy is a private practice psychotherapist on the north side of Milwaukee. She completed her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the
University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and is a licensed professional counselor (LPC). Amy has experience with children, adolescents, adults, older adults, and group therapy, including creative group interventions that facilitate healing through theatre, movement, and improvisation. When counseling individuals, Amy integrates Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Brainspotting (BSP), and other techniques which strengthen the mind-body connection and utilize the body’s natural healing abilities. Her collaborative, goal-oriented therapeutic process focuses on building a strong, supportive relationship in which the client feels empowered and open to growth.
“A healer does not heal you. A healer is someone who holds space for you while you awaken your inner healer, so that you may heal yourself.” --Maryam Hasnaa
